ALL ABOUT COMMUNITY

What does it mean to be a part of COLIVE community really? 😎🧡

What is COLIVE Community?

COLIVE is a global community of open-minded young adults, you’ll meet both young professionals and students. When you become a part of COLIVE Community, you're also part of shaping (y)our community, contributing to meaningful connections, and creating the positive impact. We believe in the power of simple interactions, like sharing meals and casual conversations by the kitchen counter, to enhance daily life. Our impact may start small but can make a significant difference in people's lives, including yours if you are willing to take the chance. Our motto, "You get what you give," guides us in everything we do.

While I could go on about the wonders of our community, I believe it's more enjoyable to hear from our members themselves. Please keep scrolling to explore their own words and see if this resonates with you. If it does, we're thrilled to welcome you and I hope to meet you in one of our hubs in the future! 🌍🤝

Best,
Emma, Head of Community

Words from Colivers

We asked our Colivers what they would want to say to you who are reading this. 🫶👇

COLIVE, community, Göteborg, Caseus,

The experience

"If you like meeting new international people, organizing and joining activities together, this is the perfect place for you."

"That the social aspect is the main part and also the best one."

"It's a great experience and be ready to make friends for life."

Living here

"We live with each other, and not just next to each other."

"You will find people that are likely to be your new best friend, but you are also likely to find people you don’t get along with as much, so to be aware and be open for compromises and understanding of each other's differences. Talk it through and it will be alright, it's not always easy but I promise it is worth it."

"Communication is key. Your new roomies will essentially be your family away from your actual family, and you will at some point get on each other's nerves. Getting to know each other and talking through any issues that might arise (from minor to major ones) is important to avoid simmering emotions from bubbling over."

If someone is hesitating?

"That you shouldn’t be afraid about living with 10 people if you’re kind of reluctant because the infrastructure is great and you can still get privacy if you want to."

"Give it a try. It might feel scary, but it's a life changing experience."

VALUES COLIVE COMMUNITY

Belonging

A feeling of being happy and comfortable in a group. Yet belonging is more than just being part of a group, but feeling a common connection and being accepted just as you are. It is one of our most basic human needs.

Simplicity

Straightforward, transparent and clear in everything we do. What you see is what you get, communicate your feelings and be honest with one another.

Making a difference

Making a difference isn't just about doing something good; it's about having a genuine, positive impact on someone or something. It's about being the spark that ignites meaningful change, growth, or influence, whether big or small. It's the power to contribute in a way that truly counts.

A WEEK AT COLIVE

Once again, we asked our colivers what a week looks like for them, these are some examples. 🫶

"Weekdays: Leaving early for work, coming home in the afternoon, hang out in the living room with my roomies or spend the afternoon in my room if I need alone-time.

Weekends: spontaneously going out for lunch with my roommates, cooking dinner together or just have some me-time at home"

"Monday: Relaxing day at home

Tuesday: Movie night

Wednesday: Enjoy dinner with friends or hang out with roomies

Thursday: Dedicate time to work after social outings

Friday: Let's party!

Saturday/Sunday: A mix of social gatherings, brunch, rest, and relaxation"

"Work, Study, Movie night, Roomie time, eat together, boardgames, city tour and many random ideas"

"Everyday we plan something with our small group of colivers as we like to see each other and enjoy each other's company. Movie night every week (if not 2), we cook together at least 2-3 times a week and make a day out of it, and we even go to the city to enjoy Stockholm before it becomes too cold."

Is your answer YES? Then you know what do to 🥳👉
