How long is the notice period?
The notice period at COLIVE is 1 calendar month, meaning your tenancy ends on the last day of the following month. For example, notice given anytime in March means move-out by April 30.
Background check
After signing a contract with us, there are a few documents you need to share. This is the ensure that everyone feels safe at COLIVE. These processes vary depending on if you have a Swedish person/coordination number or not.
If you have a Swedish person/coordination number:
1. We will complete a credit check of you before moving in. It is important that you have no unpaid debts with the Kronofogden. We accept up to 3 payment complaints, if the total debt does not exceed SEK 5,000. Any payment notices must not be accommodation-related, and there must not have been any new payment notices in the last 2 months.
If you do not have a Swedish person/coordination number:
1. Share a copy of your passport or ID card.
2. Share proof of funds. This can be e.g. a bank statement, proof of employment or student funds. Basically, any document to show that you can pay the monthly fee.
How long can I stay at COLIVE?
For as long as you want, but the shortest period is 2 months. This is since we want to promote semi-long to long stays in order to preserve a stability in your home and in the community.
Can i sublet my room?
Subletting is not allowed.
How does the roomie-matching work and can I redo it?
At COLIVE, we strive to use an open-minded, non-discriminatory, and objective model when finding new tenants for our coliving hubs. Before you can receive an offer from us, you will therefore do a roomie-matching (personality assessment) by answering a number of questions. Based on your answers, you will then be matched with your new roomies. With the roomie-matching, we want to offer higher odds of ending up with roomies that you have the possibility to thrive with. This is of course very complex, and we have chosen to match tenants based on some qualities that are particularly important when living together. However, the matching is not a guarantee in itself - all relationships require work. Living with other people can be wonderful and developing but might also be challenging at times. We hope that our tenants can use the matching results to get to know each other and understand each other better in different situations.
The roomie-matching, is done only once so try to answer as honestly as possible. The roomie-matching is about finding the apartment where you are most likely to feel at home. It’s not a question of will you fit in; it is where you will fit in and belong. So, the more honest you are in the test, the better the match.
